Patton Oswalt has found love again and I couldn’t be happier for him.
The comedian, who lost his wife last year, held hands with actress Meredith Salenger at the Los Angeles premiere of “Baby Driver” on Wednesday.
Salenger, 47, is a Harvard grad with numerous bit parts credited to her name, including multiple voice-over roles in the animated series “Star Wars Rebels.”
On June 12, Salenger posted an Instagram photo holding hands with someone fans deducted was Oswalt, captioning the snap, “I’m super in love guys. Just FYI.”
Oswalt ended his own social media hiatus to retweet two photos with Salenger from the “Baby Driver” screening.
Salenger is the first woman Oswalt has publicly dated since the death of his wife, true crime writer Michelle McNamara, on April 21, 2016 from a combination of prescription drugs and an undiagnosed heart condition.
One year after McNamara’s death, Oswalt explained why he finally removed his wedding band.
“I couldn’t bear removing it since April 21st, 2016, but now it felt obscene,” he said. “Removing the ring was removing the last symbol of denial of who I was now, and what my life is, and what my responsibilities are.”
