Sarah Palin on Tina Fey’s SNL impression of her: “I watched with the volume all the way down. I didn’t hear a word she said, but the visual was spot on.”
It’s funny you should say that, Sarah, because it’s exactly how the Republican party is hoping Americans will approach you in general.
Haha nice one, Beet.
uh huh.
Blah to political humor. Are they even celebrities???
Hah, so many morons
LOL Beet! Just as i listen to “that well spoken man” before i go to sleep, always hoping he has his teleprompter with him. ahhhh, the solitude of ignorance. Damn, I thought the Josh Howard stuff would have gotten you Beet, and Tina Fey was spot on, just didn’t sound as intelligent and insightful or as politically savvy; which Sarah honed in her longer tenure in public office than Hussein Obama. Don’t stop, loving this…
I’m sure she watched it with the volume up. She probably just doesn’t want questions about what she thought of the things Tina Fay was saying. Tina did an amazing job. It was dead on, for sure.
hahahaha u are right on! omg u know DAMN WELL she was listening too, she just didn’t want to have to admit how perfectly Fey played her making her look like the true dumbass she really is! Who would bother even flipping to the channel and watching someone impersonate you and not have the volume on? Another case of another republican LYING through their teeth! Ugh I don’t get how anyone can listen to one thing any of them say with a straight face!
@showdown… go back under the rock you crawled out from!
HAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! It’s funny because it’s true!
Well, you left out the part of the interview where she said SHE had gone as Tina Fey for Halloween one year, so she’d been doing it long before Tina had.
Which I thought was rather funny.
OMG!! You gotta love politicians and their total bullshit! Umm yeah, she didn’t have the volume on and Clinton didn’t inhale. Bah hahahaha.
awww…now come on, why so mean to our next Vice-President? This 2 year Governor of our biggest State has as much or more experience then Barack Obama does. Several years as a ‘street organizer’ and a few years in the Senate, by most people’s count doesn’t trump her experience.
in the same interview she said she went as tina fey for halloween one year.
Oh good god, please don’t let them win. Her face gives me nightmares.
Gary, biggest state of empty snow. At best she was qualified to be mayor of a tiny little town.
By the way, your term “street” organizer shows what kind of racist clown you are and why you support Republicans. Damned redneck.
The more press this woman gets, the less likely that Obama will win the election. Oh wait, what am I thinking? If she somehow becomes president she’ll fire nukes at China because she believes dinosaurs were here 4,000 years ago. Just what would I do without the wisdom of Matt Damon. God, I soooo loved him in “Team America.” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWTzyU5MFgM)
Being governor of a state that is smaller in population than many American cities & no foreign relations experience is not what I’d count as much more experience than Obama.
…”and I can see Russia from my house!” -classic.
Every location where this lady appears is filled with excitement and the hoopla doesn’t die down for days. The media recycles her sound bites from a single appearance for a week.
Beauty Gov is generating more buzz than any current candidate…including her own partner.
If excitement and popularity in the media’s eye and controversy among women and women and men and women who normally don’t give a damn means anything…DC is going to be decidedly more feminine come January…
I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight…..
* If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you’re ‘exotic, different.’
* Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.
* If your name is Barack you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.
* Name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, and you’re a maverick.
* Graduate from Harvard law School and be President of the Law Review, and you are unstable.
* Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well grounded.
* If you spend 3 years as a community organizer, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience.
* If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.
* If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian.
* If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.
* If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.
* If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.
* If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s.
* If your husband is nicknamed ‘First Dude,’ with at least one DUI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.
OK, much clearer now.
@Jess, fuck you! I can’t have a viewpoint you communist bitch???
she didn’t watch because it was bible study night and she was reading:
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).
and then afterwards smoked some good reefer and pulled out the vibrator.
Palin’s favorable rates are dropping. And her unfavorable rates are rising. All told, she is the least favorable of the four candidates at this point.
Beautiful, anon., just beautiful. I’m going to print out your post, make numerous copies, and silently hand them out to the people who so admire Sarah rather than upsetting myself with some a;ready doomed attempt at intelligent conversation.
Once again, you Barack loving Democrat, you are so very wrong! Sarah Palin is very smart and very articulate. Get over it!
that was funny beet. stat stap staaaaab.
Hey Donkey Punch….. is that the best you can you do? If all else fails in the mind of numbnut-uneducated-liberal scream racism. The people of this country are sick of that little game and it’s the very reason Obama will be lucky to carry 5 States this November. You can write that down my little liberal friend.
Kudos, Beet, and boy did you nail it! And anon; excellent!
Here’s just one example out of many of just why she’s not who she says she is:
Palin has deliberately misled the American public regarding her role as a “fiscal reformer.†Palin stopped the “bridge to nowhere†project only after Congress stopped funding it, appropriately dubbing it, “pork.†She redirected the $201 mil Alaska had received for the bridge to other Alaskan projects.
Palin only decreased her subsequent earmark-funding requests after the Bush Administration and Congress advised her administration that significant cutbacks in her earmark funding requests had to be made. Palin’s Special Counsel, John Katz, confirmed this fact in his written statement, which appeared in the Juneau Empire, March 18, 2008. Before that, Palin was one of the biggest “pork” spenders, per capita, out there. Let’s face it; Alaska was getting a lot of unwanted attention in the press because of her bridge to nowhere fiasco.
And perhaps Palin supporters should ask this governor why she filed a lawsuit againts the US Federlal governemnt seeking to diminish the fishing and hunting substinences of Alaskan natives in order to expand commercial hunting and fishing.
I find it humorous that she thought the visual was spot-on…especially the part where she’s flaunting herself at the press, including cocking a gun and posing with it…
Fave.
Anon – well said. You should write a letter to the editor (of every paper in print), email it to Fox and CNN. That’s laid out beautifully. Thank you for that.
Right on anon!!! Love it love it love it!! If McCain/Palin are elected I’m moving out of the country!
Dee Dee you’re so right!!, the hockey mom who eats moose burgers is so smart that she has to read a teleprompter because she can’t remember her speeches. She only the governor of Alaska because she’s a control freak and who can’t play nice with others. If she’s disagrees with subordinates she fires them, that really works in getting things accomplished.
she’s an idiot. that just proves she has no interest in hearing anything anyone with differing opinions has to offer. great leadership quality there.
The Alaskan women reject Sarah Palin rally was the largest rally in Alaska history. Too bad mainstream media is not reporting on it. pics here: http://laurainak.blogspot.com
Showdown: Communist bitch? Really? Wow. I don’t even know how that makes sense. The fact that you are using that as an insult in 2008 baffles me.
Just kidding, I get the context now. Still crazy, though.
Beet… you are a genius!
And for the rest of you…. I hope you registered to vote! It is so important.
Gary, you suck.
Why don’t you post the Sandra Bernhard video of her disgusting comments about Palin?
Hmmm…seems like Palin is already caught contradicting herself. What a shocker! She stated to other reps in the media that she “liked Tina’s impersonation.” Now how can you genuinely like an impersonation if you have the sound turned off? My guess is that they turned the sound off after Tina’s first two sentences.
To Lori;
Because Beet can write comments that have class, and can clearly make a valid point without being “disgusting.”
@anon,
By the way, did you see where good old Barack voted “Present” 198 times while he was an Illinois State Senator?
What a great politician. He gets elected to vote his district’s interests, and can’t manage anything other than “present”. Maybe his teleprompter wasn’t working when it came time to tell him how to vote.
Great choice for our next President.
I wouldn’t put this women in a hgh office. Mcain did this because of the women vote. Doesn’t that tell you how bad he want’s to Pris. I am sure bush’s dad. Not jr. I telling him what to do. Bush are oil men. Jr. is to stupid to run the country on his own. I bet this last yr. Daddy said so I have ran the country for the last 7 yr’s you try it now. We see where that has gone.So no Mcain Please!!!!
