Rick Ross narrowly avoided jail time in his kidnapping case.
“The Devil is a Lie” rapper, 41, appeared in Fayette County, GA, court Tuesday where he faced kidnapping, aggravated assault, aggravated battery charges for a 2015 incident where he reportedly held a groundskeeper at gunpoint and beat him with a gun, according to TMZ.
Ross copped a plea deal in which he pled no contest to one felony count of aggravated assault. The remaining charges were dismissed. He was sentenced to time served as he was jailed for a week following the incident.
A judge also ordered him to pony up $10,000 for a fine.
But Ross isn’t in the clear yet.
He also pled no contest to misdemeanor assault, battery, possession of marijuana charges and two counts of pointing a gun at someone.
For those crimes, the star was slammed with 60 months probation.
After Tuesday’s decision was handed down, Ross tweeted “God is Great” and shared a photo of Luc Belaire wine bottles with the caption “Tonight we celebrate.”
