When Katy Perry ended her relationship with Orlando Bloom, she did what plenty of basic ladies do and changed up her look. This included shaving part of her hair off and going short, a look she seems to really love and kiiiiiinda successfully pulls off but the rest of the world is basically “meh” about. I mean, it’s a haircut. Cool, I guess? Anyway, Katy seems to think she’s done something special and in fact believes her ‘do will “redefine femininity,” which… girl, no.
Here’s what she had to say at the iHeart Radio Music Awards:
“I feel the most authentic I’ve ever been,” and, “I want to redefine what it means to be feminine.”
Well, okay. Look, I’m not here to rain on anyone’s parade – it’s great that Katy feels confident in herself and all of that, but in what universe is she “redefining femininity,” especially since her basic ass haircut has already appeared on the heads of thirtysomething soccer moms and the likes of Miley Cyrus, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton… I mean, I could go on but do I really need to? I think not.
It’s so disappointing because y’all know I loved me some KP for a long time, but she’s On One right now in the worst way and it’s seriously obnoxious and out of touch. Instead of maturing, she seems to be regressing deeper and deeper into cluelessness and annoyance. UGH.
