According to Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa was so salty over his departure from the show 6 years ago, she’s still never said a word to him in all that time.
The 85-year-old veteran TV personality exposed the bad blood between himself and Ripa during a Tuesday interview on “Larry King Now.”
“She got very offended when I left. She thought I was leaving because of her,” Philbin told broadcast icon Larry King of his former TV sidekick. “I was leaving because I was getting older and it was not right for me anymore.”
When King asked Philbin if he has kept touch with Ripa, 46, he responded, “Not really, no.”
“Never once did they ask me to go back [on the show],” Philbin said.
King asked Philbin if he thinks the former soap opera star took it “personal” when he left the talk show and Philbin said, “Yeah. I think so.”
Philbin co-hosted “Live” for 28 years and Ripa joined him in 2000, co-hosting alongside him until he retired from the show in 2011.
Man, Ripa needs to GROW UP. She seems to be one of those people who cut you out of their life for the slightest ‘tif when there isn’t one to begin with.
