Kylie Jenner is unsurprisingly so far up her own ass that she thinks the name Kylie belongs to only her and that she should be able to trademark it. However, Kylie Minogue, who’s had that name several decades longer than Kim Jr., said a big “hell no!” to that and a judge agreed with her.
According to The Daily Mail (so I know, grain of salt and all. Jenner first applied to trademark “Kylie” back in April 2014, at which time Minogue’s team immediately sent a letter of opposition to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
According to Minogue, Jenner is “a secondary reality television personality” while she herself is an “internationally-renowned performing artist, humanitarian and breast cancer activist known worldwide simply as ‘Kylie’.” Well, she has a point there.
The Patent and Trademark Office seemed to agree with Minogue and they shut down Jenner’s request. She’s not giving up, though – she immediately filed an appeal hoping they’d change their minds.
Girl, give it up.
