I don’t know if this one is a clickbait story from various media outlets, but based on news media of today, I’ll assume it is. Apparently there were numerous reports that Hugh Hefner, the Playboy Magnate and ladies man thanks to being a Playboy magnate, had finally passed away at 90. Which would make sense, considering 90 is pretty damn old, and it also outlived hie magazine, which I know is still in publication but is hardly what it was when Hefner was pioneering men’s media.
I am sure no one here remembered that Hef was still alive, he pretty much fizzled out after his stint in reality TV, after destroying his classy brand by turning it into gutter smut. He even had to sell his iconic mansion. But I’m sure his troves of women are still by his side, on salary to nurse him, in more ways than changing his diapers.
According to NBC Southern California , his death rumor was greatly exaggerated.
“I’m not sure how these rumors get started but as I’ve already stated, Hugh Hefner is fine,” said Teri Thomerson, a Playboy Enterprises spokeswoman. “It is no secret that over the past few years he has suffered with back pain that has made it a bit more challenging for him to get around, but at 90 years of age he is enjoying his life and still very involved in the day to day activities of editing the magazine.”
I mean, I am sure the rumors started with the fact that he’s 90 years old! Well, he gets to live another day, not many other days, but still a better day than most of us, not mention based on all of the wild days he’s had…he’s lived the life of 1000 men, or maybe he just had sex with 1000 women, but as of now you can keep your Vintage Playboy’s off eBay hoping they go up in value when he passes onto the ad supported nude photoshoot in the sky because he’s still alive.
Here’s some pictures from the archives of Hugh Hefner not dead.
1 year later, he died today at 91.
