David Bowie was a prolific collector of the arts, and now a select group of his personal collection will be going up for auction at famed auction house Sotheby’s in London.
The preview runs until 9 August before setting off on a world tour that takes in Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong before culminating in a major London exhibition in November.

Also coming up, an unusual car that was once owned by John Lennon will have star billing in RM Sotheby’s London sale on 7 September. The 1956 Austin Princess featured prominently in the 1972 film Imagine in scenes which saw the former Beattle and his wife, Yoko Ono travelling in the back of the vehicle. (September 6-7)
