Hollywood hottie, Channing Tatum, will be starring in the remake of the 1984 hit Splash In this version Tatum will be playing the merman that finds love up in the surface world. The roll original played by Daryl Hannah. The Tom Hanks roll will be played by Jillian Bell, who you may know from “Workaholics” or “22 Jump Street”.
The original story revolves around a mermaid that morphs her fin into legs when on land as she goes in search of her love, a boy she saved in the ocean years ago. Incidentally, when Daryl’s mermaid character is asked her name, she looks up to the a Manhattan street sign and replies “Madison”. This is credited with introducing the name, now topping US name charts.
