Kim Kardashian loves showing off her body. Whether it’s in multi-thousand dollar dresses or in nothing at all, she clearly values her physical features more than any others – and hey, more power to her. I personally think it’s sending a pretty shitty message to her young daughter that having a small waist or massive boobs should be your prized possession, but whatever. I’m tired of trying to fight Kim – she’s not going anywhere and we have to accept it. Her husband Kanye West doesn’t understand why anyone wouldn’t want to see his wife naked. After all, he loves Kim’s naked selfies that she posts pretty much every single week.
From Harper’s Bazaar:
KW: I love her nude selfies. Like, I love the ones from the side, the back ones, and the front. I just love seeing her naked; I love nudity. And I love beautiful shapes. I feel like it’s almost a Renaissance thing, a painting, a modern version of a painting. I think it’s important for Kim to have her figure. To not show it would be like Adele not singing.
Christ almighty, he did not just compare extreme vanity, ego and attention seeking behavior with Adele not singing. Well, actually, of course he did. But methinks comparing Kim to “a renaissance thing” is a bit of a problem – that implies that what Kim is doing is high art when really it’s tantamount to porn (which, again, I’m not in any way against it – let’s just call a spade a spade here).
There was also this hilarious exchange about Twitter and vanity:
KW: Yeah, I think she has vanity. And with me, I don’t give a fuck, bro; it is what it is. I’m the best—now what? I don’t know if that’s a vain statement. I don’t particularly like photos of myself, though.
KKW: Yeah, what is the definition of vain? I want to look up exactly what the definition is.[Googles.] Vain, definition: “having or showing an excessively high opinion of one’s appearance, abilities, or worth.”
LB: Speaking of pride, tweets you’re proud of and tweets you regret.
KKW: I don’t regret any tweets. I’m not a tweeter and deleter. So I have no regrets.
KW: She hates tweeters and deleters.
These are two of the biggest celebrities in the world. Dear God help us all.
