Earlier this month, Jennifer Lawrence penned a letter about the Hollywood wage gap and her frustrations with being paid less than her male costars for the same amount of work (and sometimes more). And while movie stars make way too much money anyway, her point stands: women should be making the same amount as men in any industry, end of. Her friend and co-star Bradley Cooper got on board and vowed to be an ally in fighting to bridge this gap, but Jeremy Renner won’t be joining the ranks. After all, he’s too busy being a complete and utter prick to do anything worthwhile.
From Business Insider:
“That’s not my job,” Renner said, while taking part in an intimate press day on Tuesday for the new “One Life/Live Them” campaign he’s doing for Rémy Martin Cognac.
“I don’t know contracts and money and all that sort of stuff,” Renner went on to say.
Adding he fully supports actresses receiving equal pay as actors, he said he’s more focused on his craft than what everyone is making.
“I’m a performer and I know human behavior. When it comes to that sort of stuff I let other people deal with that,” said the two-time Oscar nominee. “I do what I’m good at, that’s what I focus on.”
He knows human behavior? He’s focused on “his craft”? Is this bonehead actually serious? I’m sure his work in the likes of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters really required him to dig deep into the human condition. Fuck this guy, seriously. Every single thing he does just makes me hate him more.
He’s probably pissed that he wont ever make $20 million/film like JLaw does.
