As you may or may not remember, Kate Hudson called off her engagement from Muse frontman Matt Bellamy in December 2014 after being engaged for a couple of years. We never really found out what happened… until now, since Kate opened up about the dissolution of their relationship in a new interview with Allure. What’s hilarious is that her explanation is exactly what you’d expect from Kate: a bit hippy dippy and spiritual and very “peace, man” vibes.
Her relationships with ex-husband Chris Robinson (father of her 11-year-old son Ryder) and ex-fiancé Matthew Bellamy of Muse (her four-year-old son Bingham’s father) remain very cordial. “Relationships ending are painful, and you can choose to carry that or you can choose to reframe it. If Matt and I had a great relationship, we would still be together, but we chose to move on because we had different visions of how we wanted to live our lives. That doesn’t mean, though, that we can’t rebuild something that would be the best thing for the kids.”
Since Hudson and Bellamy broke up last year, they have made a point of staying connected. “We said, ‘We need to try to create something for the kids where they feel like they’re gaining something rather than losing something,'” she says. So far, it seems to have worked. “It’s been a seamless transition,” she says. “Kids just want to see their parents be cool. Everybody’s cool; everybody’s good.”
Why do I find myself liking Kate Hudson so much? I just think she’s really enjoyable as a public figure. I don’t particularly like her movies (I don’t know that I’ve sat through a whole one, other than Almost Famous, which was my obsession as a teenager), but she just comes off as really likable.
Just me? Whatever.
they left her cause they cant stand her.. good for them.. she probably drove them nuts..
