Jesse Eisenberg Compares Comic-Con To Genocide

jesse eisenberg

Honestly, I’ve never seen the appeal of Jesse Eisenberg. Rather than being a naturally awkward yet slightly endearing eccentric, he comes off as a try-hard hipster whose contrived ineptitude is used as an excuse for him to act like a complete ass. Take, for instance, his recent comments on Comic-Con. Jesse went to Comic-Con since he was contractually obligated to promote his role as Lex Luther in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Anyone who’s familiar with Comic-Con knows it’s a crazy (yet fun!) experience and that the fans are really intense, most of them in a great way. Well, not to Jesse. He feels like the only thing comparable to rabid comic book fans is… genocide?

Asked about his experience at SDCC at the premiere for his new movie, The End of the Tour, this is what came out of his mouth:

“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”

I feel like this is the only acceptable response to this comment:

uhhhh

I don’t know why someone whose job it is to be a public figure, and who’s paid handsomely for this job, doesn’t have more self-control/abilities of self-censorship to keep such absolutely ridiculous shit from coming out of his mouth. He’s far from the first or only celebrity to make an ass of himself, but come on!

  • He isnt that great a performer that the acting world would miss him if he left the business. Maybe he would enjoy a minimum wage job as a server in a restaurant or customer service work better. Acting is something you do because you enjoy it and that includes acting like you appreciate the movie fans who made you famous.
