Solange and longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson got married in New Orleans over the weekend in a beautiful ceremony that puts big sister Beyonce‘s tacky affair back in the day. Not that it’s a competition, obviously, but Solange has always had the better style, as far as I’m concerned.
From Vogue:
“Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love,” said Solange via email earlier today. “Everything was a labor of love.”
And given that there have been several sightings of her friend and collaborator Humberto Leon in NOLA over the past few months, we weren’t surprised to hear that the dress was by Humberto Leon for Kenzo. Knowles commissioned photographer Rog Walker to take the official wedding portraits, and the stunning all-female family tableau which includes sister Beyoncé and mother Tina Knowles is a nod to the work of contemporary Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft. It’s a far cry from the conservative strapless frock she wore to wed her first husband Daniel Smith, in 2004, and shows just how beautifully Knowles has come into her own.
Cute! Here are a few more pics from the ceremony. Hopefully Solange got through the day without smacking anyone. Sorry, I had to! Congrats to the happy couple! (Also, how is Alan Ferguson 51? IN WHAT WORLD? He looks her age!)
Somebody would REALLY have to hate Beyoncé to call that a perfect anything. 70s music video, high concept maybe?

You missed the best part: dude’s bike tore was flat. Hope it’s not an omen.
Speaking of the Omen… Wtf are these wedding photos?
