Sofia Vergara decided she doesn’t really want to get married to fiancé Nick Loeb after all. She wrote an announcement on her WhoSay page. It reads:
Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have decided to be apart.
We have been having too many problems with having to figure out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it’s been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now.
Wow, what a messy statement — no way her publicist is happy with this one.
I’ve never seen anyone use “not having fun anymore” as a reason for breaking up. Sometimes relationships are hard and not fun. But you push through it.
I guess though if this is really what she wants, it’s for the best. Better split now than get a divorce. You know she wants to protect her assets (and no, that’s not a joke about her ass).
What do you think of her statement?
It seems much more open and honest than some generic prewritten statement her publicist wrote for her. Sounds to me like things haven’t been working for awhile, better that they both move on with their lives.
I like it. It’s honest and I actually know what she means but “not fun anymore.”
I prefer something like this so much more than a carefully worded piece of styrofoam. Better to be straightforward and sincere rather than let people invent a million ridiculous reasons, and you know they’ll always go with the worst one!
