Kate Winslet was acting for several years before Titanic was released in 1997, but it was that film that really shot her into the spotlight and helped her become her generation’s Meryl Streep (because let’s face it, she SO is). Kate has never been shy about getting the ladies out on camera, but Titanic had that infamous “Draw me like one of your French girls, Jack” scene where she sprawled on a couch and let the camera focus on her boobs for a while. That scene has stuck in the minds of many since, and apparently people still ask her to sign blown up stills of it OR their own personal drawings. NOT COOL, people.
As she told Yahoo! Movies:
“I don’t sign that [picture]. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that? People ask me to sign that [picture] a lot.
“There’s a photo of it as well that someone has lifted from a still of the film, and that photo gets passed around too. I’m like ‘No! I didn’t mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing still 17 years later.”
LOL, poor Kate. I can see why it might be slightly uncomfortable to sign a picture of your naked self, but homegirl really seems to be tortured by her Titanic legacy.
IMO it is beyond ball Z to approach her and ask for that “picture” to be signed.
