It’s a sad state of affairs in Hollywood that the only movies seemingly being made lately are either book adaptations or remakes of classics that really should just be left alone.
The latest franchise apparently getting a reboot – or at the very least, another film – is Indiana Jones. While the producers would love to get Harrison Ford back one last time before he’s too damn old to take on the part, timing is a problem since they don’t yet have a story and Harrison is working on other films.
The answer is, apparently, to bring Bradley Cooper in to play a younger version of the character and breathe fresh life into the Indiana Jones storyline. Nothing has been confirmed, of course, but what do you think? Could he pull it off? Is it even worth it or should they just leave it alone?
Disney owns the brand and Frank Darabont has apparently pitched a story, but who knows if this one will ever come to light.
As much as Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones is (to me) the ultimate fantasy alpha male…i like Bradley Cooper in that role! WAAAAAY better than Shia LeDouche.
I grew up with Indiana Jones. I love the movies and Harrison is and will ALWAYS be the man to fill that roll. Cooper has some pretty big shoes to fill.well see….
No. All the no. Y’all see Brad Coops in Wet Hot American Summer? Yes! All the YES – it’s very true to life for him, lemmee tell ya…
Yes, He would make an interesting choice, and Iconic characters have been replaced in the past, i.e. James Bond.
My question is… why rush another “Indy” film out? Take some time to bring out an outstanding storyline. In the mean time the “uncharted” series has been in limbo for how long now? AGES!!! So, come on Fella’s and Gal’s, let’s get hoppin’ on that train! Bradley Cooper would be a better chouice for that character anyway! :)
I can’t believe HF hasn’t said anything yet.
I can’t see Bradley Cooper as anything other than his character from HJNTIY. A skeezy, cheating p*ssy.
Also, to add to my previous reply… wouldn’t it be a blast to seeing Mr. Cooper play Nathan Drake along side Harrison Ford as Victor Sullivan (Sully)?!!!
No. No, no, NO! NO! NOOOOOOOO!
Wow!… Give me a reason as to why not.
… and just for chuckles, who would you cast?
An actor doesn’t own a part. Look at how many successful Bonds there have been. Bradley Cooper would make a great Indiana Jones. He’s got the good looks and the acting chops to bring Indy to life. I’d watch.
I see him doing a Magnum PI movie, but not Indiana Jones, or maybe play Indiana Jones’s Son older version. Sorry I do not see him being Indiana Jones.
Just NO.
Harrison Ford shouldn’t be replaced. What needs to happen is have the next movie take place 8 or 10 years after the last and have another actor play indy Jr and not Shia since the fans hated him so much
The time will explain the chance in look if u get someone who looks or slightly resembles Shia. Bradley Cooper kind of fits that mold… So I’d be ok with him taking over his dad’s job sort of saying but with HF still there as Indy Sr.
This would be a neat way to continue and pass the torch which allows us to eventually move into a more modern era for Indiana Jones.
Remember when River Phoenix played young Indy? *swoon*
No.
Bradley Cooper as an Indiana Jones type of character? Sure. As Indiana Jones? Fuck no.
If this turns out to be true, I’ve got no problem with it at all. I’ll always love the originals (‘cept for the last one), and Ford OWNED the role–but I’m not a purist as long as there’s a SOLID STORY to be told. I think given a solid screenplay, Cooper would be a good fit for this character. He can play smart but with a swashbuckling side to him.
Bradley Cooper would do a great job I have no problem with Shia, whether Bradley or Shia is offered make sure its entertaining, also please bring back Jonathan Hensleigh to write an Indiana movie.
Hm, not bad IF they so it. I would love to see an indy/uncharted crossover where Indy gives the torch to drake played by cooper (perfect).
I agree can’t Hollywood come up with new stuff anymore.??
No he is not the kind of guy that is going to beat you up
I’d be fine with this (lifelong fan saw Raiders in 1981).

Jesus fucking Christ. Motherfucking Hollywood should just leave old franchises alone and CREATE something NEW! Every time these fuck-tards revive Indiana Jones or make another Star Wars (or whatever), not only are they flogging a dead horse, they are fucking with my childhood.
The last thing that anyone who actually loves the Indiana Jones movies (as opposed to merely claiming they do) needs is to have that perfect trilogy (which actually ends with our hero riding off into the sunset – how perfect is that) tarnished by below-par additions to the canon. Fuck that. And fuck the cowardly studio execs who, instead of celebrating and encouraging the production of true art, green-light multi-million dollar abortions made by lazy Hollywood hacks and hasbeens.

Leave it alone My God look what they did to Starwars..Give me a break will ya!. Somebody please find some writers out there who can give us some movies…..
I’m going to respond with Ewwwwww! No please they cant be that cynical.I haven’t known Harrison Ford and maybe I haven’t.known him we ll but Bradley Cooper is no Indiana Jones.
The crystal skull was awful, I can’t imagine that Cooper could do any worse that that. But all the previous ones were the stuff that real movies used to be. It’s unlikely that those days will ever return, so we are forced to continually watch regurgitated crap. Only in America.
