Remember that misdemeanor battery case stemming from Kanye West apparently attacking a photographer at LAX last July? Well, it’s reached its conclusion, which has left Yeezus himself with a two year probation term, 250 hours of community service and 24 anger management sessions. Damn!
From CNN:
A no contest plea is treated the same as a guilty plea for purposes of the sentencing.
Judge Alan Rubin sentenced West to serve two years’ probation for the misdemeanor battery conviction. He must attend 24 anger management sessions, perform 250 hours of community service and pay restitution to the victim.
Rubin said he will review the community service to make sure he is getting no special treatment.
Photographer Daniel Ramos told the judge he wanted West thrown in jail.
“I was only doing my job, and he broke the law,” Ramos said. “I believe that if I did what he did to me, I would have been put behind bars.”
Well, I don’t think being an asshole and shoving a camera in someone’s face is really a “job” to speak of – or at least not a respectable one – but yeah, it doesn’t justify physical violence. Unless, of course, the photographer is being violent and threatening yours or your family’s safety, so there’s that.
In any case, I do think Kanye can benefit from some anger management. Let’s just hope he doesn’t flub the “community service” bit like Chris Brown tried to do.
Ahahahahahahaha OMG Jennifer Ur hilarious .. “I don’t thing being an asshole and shoving a camera in someone’s face is really a ‘job’ to speak of – or at least not a respectable one” … I’m sure Ur really busy ya better go break up the fight between Ur Pot and Kettle ;)
Yes, because I am a paparazzo. LOL
Ya well substitute a keyboard for a camera and that’s exactly who you are?
