Amanda Bynes won’t be getting out of standing trial for her DUI case. Though earlier reports suggested her lawyer would fight against it, saying she wasn’t mentally competent, that didn’t seem to fly, because Ms. Bynes will indeed be present. Here’s more from TMZ:
Amanda’s case was in Mental Health Court this AM, and the judge read the court-ordered medical evaluation of the actress, and determined she is now competent to face the DUI charges.
Amanda’s lawyer, Rich Hutton, did not object to the findings so the criminal case — which was put on hold — will now go forward.
Also, good news, “sources say the ruling will have NO impact on her conservatorship.” That’s good news because Bynes really needs to be under the care of someone else, preferably her parents.
I’m betting Amanda thinks this is a good thing? She is better or getting better I don’t even know why a DUI is a court case? Plead guilty take your punishment and keep getting better.
