You see this? This is the casual, cocky, pocketed-hands look of the Next Big Thing.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: doesn’t “boeuf” mean “beef” in French? I don’t remember. But, more importantly, who is this kid? Why is his name popping up fucking everywhere these days? Who the hell actually saw Disturbia?

A fair number of people, it turns out, as the movie claimed this weekend’s box office top spot with $23M.

If you’re twelve years old, you remember Shia from Even Stevens, the Disney show I’d comment on if I had ever seen it in my whole life. If you’re not twelve years old, you don’t know who he is. But that’s gonna change soon, as Chia Pet LaBeef is taking the Indiana Jones reins out of Harrison Ford’s wrinkled, shaky hands for the 2008 release of the fourth Indy movie. And you better believe a $23M opening is gonna look like spare change when that little boulder rolls through theaters.

Welcome aboard, Shia. Try to stay away from Paris Hilton.

  • Boeuf does mean beef in French, but this guy’s name is spelt “LaBeouf,” so I don’t know what the hell that means.

    Also, he was in the awesome movie Holes, with Sigourney Weaver and Jon Voight. It’s a kids’ movie, but I watched it last year and didn’t care.

  • Check out Shia in “A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints”, directed by Dito Montiel. Robert Downey Jr., Rosario Dawson, and hottie hottie Channing Tatum are also in it. It’s a true story written by the director of the film, and Shia plays him in his childhood years (Robert Downey plays the grown up Dito) Definately a powerful movie, and Shia is awesome in it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why he’s the next big thing.

  • I think he looks like Adam Levine of Maroon 5, or at least he is handsome the way Adam Levine is handsome, as well as slim and skinny like Levine.

  • I think Shia LaBoeuf is a very great actor. He is very handsome. I am a boy and i have seen all of his movies and me personally feel that he is very handsome and he is a very good actor. When i was a little kid, my family had no money and i remembered i used to watch Even Stevens on channel 11 and i laughed. I also believe when i was seven years old, i have seen Shia on a nightmare room episode called BE SCAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. Really scary episode and if you have seen The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody on Disney channel or Big Daddy with Adam Sandler, the boy named buddy is that boy ( which is zack and cody )
