Newsflash: Fred Savage is a super nice dude. The Wonder Years star turned producer/director on a few network TV shows was pulled over by police in LA last week for chitty chatting on his cell phone while driving, which is not particularly legal. He got $175 worth of fines out of the ordeal, but didn’t cop (no pun intended) a ‘tude with police at all like most other stars would have done.
From TMZ:
Law enforcement sources tell us, Savage was pulled over near Universal Studios in a 2011 Mercedes, and cited for not using a hands-free device while talking on his cell.
And in typical Kevin Arnold fashion, we’re told Fred was extremely pleasant throughout the entire traffic stop. Super nice.
Aw, isn’t that sweet? To be honest, I’m not at all surprised. Also, I love that TMZ even picked this up considering Fred’s slot on the celebrity meter is pretty low these days (which is not to say that he’s not successful in his own right, just that he’s not falling out of clubs or beating people up). Way to go on not being an asshole, Fred Savage.
In other news, I’m ready to watch The Princess Bride now.
Yay I watched Princess Bride on TV too! It was awesome!
Kevin Arnold! Screw that! This guy directed Party Down.
OOOHHH yes, fucking love Party Down. He’s one of the many clever dudes behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia too. Fred Savage for president 2016, y’all! The Wizard, Little Monsters, I could go on…
Dhogg is right. Have you looked at his directing credits??? Fred Savage may not act anymore, but this guy directs the best stuff out there (modern family, Always Sunny, 2 Broke Girls)
I wrote Fred Savage a love letter in Grade 3. It was 1986. I got the address from Big Bopper magazine. Or maybe it was Tiger Beat. Whatever the magazine was, it said that he liked football and the color blue. Anyway, he never wrote back, but I eventually forgave him. Just now.
^^this^^ I’m laughing & aaawwwing at the same time – story of my life.
