It’s called “Red,” and it’s her second single off her new album, also titled Red. Because deep thoughts and feelings.
But let’s think about this for a minute, all right? Taylor‘s last album, Speak Now, was released in 2010. That album had songs about John Mayer, Joe Jonas, and Taylor Lautner. Since that album, the only high profile relationships she’s had were with Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor Kennedy, of course, even though I’m sure the album was completed by the time Taylor found her Kennedy. And there’s some pretty solid evidence that her awful “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is about Jake. So is this new song about Jake too? Is the whole album about Jake? Please?
Regardless of who the song is about, what do you think about it? Same old Tay Tay, or a new level of irritating?
I think she has a lovely voice. I just wish she’d grow up a bit. And the songs alright, though the lyrics are a little nonsensical.
It still sounds a bit country. Maybe it’s because I grew up and live in NC, but anything that even remotely sounds like country music or a banjo makes me petrified. I just feel like it heralds an impending lynch mob.
“Because deep thoughts and feelings.”
What a piece of shit!
