Although Christina Ricci looked absolutely stunning at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Gala on Monday night, she reportedly stormed out of the event very early once she learned that Anna Wintour’s fastidious party-planning had resulted in her being seated separately from her boyfriend, Speed Racer co-star Kick Gurry.
“She was very upset,” said a source.
I agree! I don’t like it when people sit couples separately at dinner events — like, I understand you’re trying to get folks to mingle, but come on! Why can’t I sit with my boyfriend? Not that I have a boyfriend. But, you know, theoretically.

I agree with you Beet. I don’t get the point of splitting them up either. I mean if they did do that, i cant see why they couldnt just change it back so they could be somewhere together. Yes i know thats ‘pretty huge’ at a Wintour event, but you would think with all the huge egos they would have that possiblity accounted for.
I’m with E-dub–that’s pretty immature of Christina. Plus, with the way Kick looks, I’d thank Anna for seating me far away from him.

OMG – how the hell did Kick Gurry get to Hollywood?! (I’m Aussie, he’s Aussie – this is the first I’ve heard of him doing ANYTHING since Alibrandi/Garage Days, let alone him being in Hollywood and apparently Ricci’s boyfriend….) There you go.
