This is a video of some dude who doesn’t understand personal space trying to get Lady Gaga‘s autograph in Romania. As you can see, it doesn’t work out too well for him.
There are a few reasons why I wanted to show you this video. One, because it’s making the rounds this morning, and I didn’t want you guys to miss out on the latest hot topics at the water cooler or the trough or whatever it is you people with regular jobs have at your workplace. Two, because this is the first time that I have ever liked any Gaga fashion – I actually think her whole ensemble is really, really cute. Three, this whole scenario would freak me the f-ck out, and I wanted to tell you about another thing that freaked me the f-ck out this week.
My neighbor called the cops on me, guys. Me. If you’ve been reading this blog for a time, you probably get the sense that I’m a sort of goofy, awkward lady who loves unicorns and playing with her cat and guinea pigs, and you’d be right. But listen. A few days ago, I was at home with my boyfriend, playing with the cat, and there’s this terrifyingly loud beating on the door, like the kind of thing you’d hear if some police thought you had a meth lab in the kitchen. My cat ran into the bedroom because he’s a for real scaredy cat, and my boyfriend answered the door, and it was a neighbor guy that we’d never met before, and he started yelling about our lawn. He reeked of booze like Amanda Bynes burping out of Lindsay Lohan‘s mouth, and we had no idea what he was saying, except it was something about mowing the lawn. Then he asked if we had any sort of lawn equipment, and my boyfriend was like “that’s not really any of your business, friend,” because no thank you, shady drunk stranger, and the guy left. Weird, right?
BUT NO. After a few minutes, the guy came back. My boyfriend was outside with his dad (I was inside comforting the cat), and Drunk Neighbor started yelling again, but like angry yelling, about how he was just trying to be nice. He yelled for a minute, and then my future father-in-law, who usually looks and acts like Santa Claus but can apparently be sort of a badass, told him sternly to go home. And so he did. Weirder, right?
BUT WAIT. I walked to the general store up the road to get some ice cream, and when I came back, there was a police car outside my house. Because Drunk Neighbor had called the police. On us. The officer was just like “sorry guys, I told Ol’ Drunky to stay off your property, but if he comes back, just call me,” and then he left, but still, really? Freaked me the f-ck out.
But yeah, Lady Gaga, huh? CUHHH-RAZY.
I like you as a gossip blogger and all…but can’t you keep your personal business to your own personal blog?
She doesn’t have to. And why should she? We like it.
I’m allowed an opinion, just as you are.
Yeah and our opinion is that you should allow the blogger to say whatever she wants. Can’t wrap your head around that, can you? You are the one who came here complaining, and our opinions count as much as yours.
If you don’t like it, you can just keep scrolling. No one’s forcing you to read it.
I personally like the personal business. Keep on keepin’ on, Emily! Also, that story sounds really scary…I totally wouldn’t have known what to do about that guy and would have let my husband take care of the whole situation – I’m generally pretty good at dealing with people, but only when they’re rational (which is, of course, only about 30% of the time).
I like the personal stuff! Also, I think most gossip bloggers do that, as opposed to gossip websites. And yeah Emily, neighbours be crazy.
I originally came to share two thoughts (1 and 2 below), but because I so strongly disagree with Stacey about the sharing of personal business – Emily, it’s one of the things about you that keeps me coming back! – I’m going to do a little sharing of my own, in solidarity, just because the combination of that video and your story totally reminded me of something from my personal past.
1. Gaga should keep that bodyguard forever.
2. Badass Santa sounds like the coolest father-in-(common?)-law a girl could dream of.
3. One day when I went to pick my daughter up from daycare (she was about 2 at the time), they gave me an incident report about her behavior. Apparently, a boy was playing with a truck that she REALLY wanted, but wouldn’t share. She decided that she MUST have it, so she grabbed him by the back of the pants with one hand and the shirt collar with the other, dropped him to the ground and was descending like she was going to put her knee on his neck, the same way the bodyguard in the Gaga video pinned that guy in the video, but the daycare workers got to her before she could actually do that. But she wasn’t modeling any behavior she’d seen or anything. For the longest time we were trying to find a teeny tiny Mexican Wrestler mask, but they just don’t make them that small. And by the way, she’s never exhibited any kind of remotely hostile behavior like that again. She’s actually very timid. I guess she just REALLY wanted that truck.
LOL! I love this story.
Really ? whan an over reaction.
Really ? what an over reaction.
Am I the only one who thinks that was way overboard for gaga’s bodyguard? he punched the guy in the head for wanting an autograph. geez.
Yeah, way over-reacting. The bodyguard could have just held up his hands, blocked the fan off from the-biggest-star-now-or-ever-in-the-history-of-the-universe. He didn’t have to knock him to the ground. In the fairest of fair worlds, the fan should get to knock down both the bodyguard and Lady Gaga. One time, just to let them know how it feels.
You’re right, Mireee, most gossip bloggers do often share tales from their real life. I liked the story, by the way.
