From PEOPLE:
“[Robert is] heartbroken and angry, and sources tell the magazine that he’s been drinking and relying on friends to deal with the pain,” says PEOPLE reporter Carlos Greer.
Stewart is also having a difficult time facing the repercussions of her affair, adds Greer.
“[Kristen is] remorseful,” he says. “She’s beating herself up over this.”
As well she should be. There’s all sorts of things that have been f-cked up because of her stupid “momentary indiscretion” that shouldn’t have happened to begin with. Sources are saying that Kristen is not welcome at Rob‘s upcoming premiere for Cosmopolis, though the promo tours for Breaking Dawn Part 2 haven’t been delayed.
As for the Cosmopolis premiere, added security has even been put in place to stop Kristen from approaching Rob. From Radar Online:
Security staff have been told to keep K-Stew, 22, away from the red carpet and after party for the Cosmopolis premiere on August 13, in fear she may use it as an excuse to speak with R-Pattz in person.
“Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the Cosmopolis New York premiere,” a source said.
“Security was briefed and they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the after party.
“The decision was made because Robert just doesn’t want to see her. There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere.
The BD promo tour is still set to schedule, and a rep for Summit Entertainment says:
“While it is studio policy not to comment of the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.’ We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”
Well that’s good. But I’m not going to lie—I can’t wait to see how the premieres and the red carpet events play out. I mean, are Robert and Kristen going to be forced to make nice for the sake of everyone involved? And isn’t that just going to be damn awkward? Or do you think it’ll give the estranged couple a chance to relive their prior romantic glory and start fresh?
Eh, am I the only one who isn’t interested by the Kristen/Director/Rob thing? I get that she’s more famous but the whole thing reeks of sexism because she’s under way more fire than Rupert is, and he’s an older married man with a family while she’s a young impressionable woman. He was in a position of power…I mean he was her freaking DIRECTOR! To me this is like when a professor gets it on with an undergrad and in the end it’s the prof who’s in deeper shit than the kid…as it should be.
Seriously, if Kirsten’s career ends because of this, but we still have Chris Brown releasing albums and selling out concerts, I will lose faigh in humanity. It’s so fucking sexist. The director should’ve known better than to fuck a woman 20 years her junior when he’s married with children, and Chris Brown fucking sent Rihanna to hospital and yet there he is. But noo, Kirsten is the devil?? Fuck that.
Wasn’t he the guy who kept saying he was allergic to vaginas? What kind of relationship could you have with a guy like that? And I have to say that for all the pictures of her and Rob together she never looked as happy. I mean really, she never smiled or even looked like she wanted him to touch her. One had to wonder how “real” the relationship was. Maybe she just wanted to be around someone who wasn’t allergic to her lady parts. Yea, the sleaze bag was older and married – so why isn’t he being raked over the coals? Why is it ONLY her fault – seriously – I think Rob needs to grow a pair, maybe if he had – she wouldn’t have gone off looking for someone who could make her smile.
