So, when I’m not writing over here for you guys, I write the celebrity section on Film.com. I got this email from my editor over there this afternoon:
Hey – Exciting news! Amy got arrested! Woo hoo!
She asked me if I wanted to cover it or if she should just run an AP story, and I told her to run the AP story. Because, the thing is, it’s not exciting to me. It’s not surprising and it’s not even really that interesting and it’s basically just another nail in the coffin of what was once a talented, bright and brilliant young woman who is currently self-destructing as we all look on.
The whole thing just makes me depressed.

I really feel for Amy. This should be a lesson to all those abusing drugs or drink; this is where you end up. The frightening thing is she just won an award for UK Heroine of the Year.

seriously though, she needs to get herself sorted out. It must be really hard for her with her husband in prison and stuff, too, I bet she’s lonely.

I really love amy, she’s incredibly talented and stylish and unique and honestly, i don’t even get joy out of reading the horrible things i do about her the way i would about other celebs. i really wish her the best and hope she cleans herself up.
Yeah, me too.

Richa, she has a really big head because she used to be shapely and gorgeous and then lost hunners of weight and now she’s like a UK 6 or 4 or something.
I’m sure Amy Winehouse used to look better. At some point anybody who looks like a battered corpse MUST have looked better. But I have my doubts that Amy Winehouse was ever “shapely and gorgeous.”
