See that woman up there with my old flame, Zach Galifianakis? That’s his longtime lady love, Quinn Lundberg. She’s also his soon-to-be wife, because they’re getting married! I just love wedding season, you guys, I really do.
From Celebuzz:
Prepare for the biggest bachelor party ever, as The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis is getting married to his longtime girlfriend, Celebuzz can exclusively reveal.
The 42-year-old quietly got engaged to Quinn Lundberg, 29, ensuring he is no longer a one-man wolf pack.
In fact, the couple has already sent out wedding invitations for the August 11 nuptials which are, like the funnyman himself, quite unique.
“The wedding invite is very Zach,” an insider revealed.
“While it has the formal and standard details of who, what, when, where – including Zach’s full name Zachary Knight Galifianakis and his fianceé’s Mary Quinn Lundberg – it is also very funny.
“Zach included a drawing of himself and his bride-to-be. He made sure he looked like a little troll, while Quinn is a stunning tall blonde princess.”
The couple — who share their time between North Carolina and Venice, Calif. — have even coordinated an online gift registry for the wedding under his pseudonym, Celebuzz confirmed.
The name: Paul Dummy.
The soon-to-be newlyweds are not asking for much, as we discovered; with the exception of a sheet set from Anthropology, the couple has asked guests to donate to the non-government organization (NGO) Growing Voices, which Lundberg co-founded.
When asked to confirm the exciting news, a representative for The Hangover star’s manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, declined to comment.
Galifianakis’ lady love is definitely no Hollywood wallflower.
The 29-year-old former ballerina is an expert in international conflict resolution and her not-for-profit supports a project helping victims of domestic violence in North Carolina — Galifianakis’ hometown — and aiding rural education in Malawi in Africa.
Well, I think this is just darling. Zach has been dating Quinn for a good few years, and although Zach is very private, he has talked about her a couple of times during interviews. There was this one interview that was done out on Zach’s farm in North Carolina, and although Zach didn’t directly talk about his girlfriend much, the writer did mention how they’d been taking care of a litter of kittens that had been abandoned on their property, and how Quinn picked tomatoes while Zach used the tractor. It sounded really adorable, and I’m glad that they’re happy.
On a completely unrelated note, do you have any good recommendations for sad songs about lost love? Particularly ones about your exes finding love with someone else? Thanks a million!
Um yes, a good sad song is “Where I Stood” by Missy Higgins.
