The Santa Monica Police didn’t request a blood sample from Lindsay Lohan when she was in the emergency room after she rear ended a big rig truck last Friday, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
As we previously reported, Lohan rear ended the dump truck on Pacific Coast Highway. The Porsche, driven by Lindsay, was totaled and the accident sent the actress and her assistant to the emergency room. Both were later released and miraculously didn’t suffer serious injuries.
“Lindsay was given a portable breathalizer test along with several other field sobriety tests and she passed them all,” a source close to theMean Girls star tells RadarOnline.com. “She did everything that was asked of her and cooperated fully. This is why the cops didn’t request a blood sample from Lindsay, as they concluded that she wasn’t under the influence and didn’t need to be given a blood test. Lindsay was shaken up obviously about the accident, but that is to be expected. The cops told her that she was lucky to be alive, and her seat belt absolutely saved her life.”
Lohan has been back on set this week filming Liz & Dick, the Lifetime television movie based on the rocky love affair between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
Meanwhile, reports circulated earlier this week that cops found a plastic bottle containing alcohol in the trunk of the car, however, Sergeant Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police Department has told various media outlets, “There was no container retrieved from the vehicle. There was a container found in the debris by the side of the road but that doesn’t mean it came from the car.”
“Lindsay absolutely emphatically maintains that the alcohol wasn’t hers. Again, the police don’t suspect drugs or alcohol had any role in the crash. Lindsay was 100% sober at the time of the accident,” the insider says. Lohan remains on informal probation in her past necklace theft case.
Lindsay‘s going to get away with it again, isn’t she? The bottle of booze wasn’t in the trunk, it was in the console next to her, and that’s why it was found in the debris. She passed all the sobriety tests because that’s basically her whole job right now. But they never tested her blood, so she’ll just sail right on to that delightful Lifetime movie, or the next vehicle/person/baby stroller she happens to pass in her car. Wonderful.
But hey, here’s a serious question: if you’re high on crack or meth or whatever, would those field sobriety tests be as hard? I mean, I’m sure they would be difficult, but if you exist in a crack haze like Lindsay does, would the tests really be that much of an issue?

Yes, we knew she was going to get away with it again but I’d like to know who in law enforcement or the court system is being paid off to always look the other way with this useless piece of work. If someone is always wrecking cars, doing drugs and getting arrested for different things wouldn’t you want to do a blood test after a terrible car wreck that might have been caused by that said person?
You can’t legally do a forced blood draw without probable cause. If she passed the breathalyzer and did all the field sobriety exercises (legally you can’t call them tests) then they had no cause to force a blood draw and if they had it would be unusable in court. The police did nothing wrong. They weren’t looking the other way they were following protocol.
