The Hawaiian Tropic Zone in NYC hired DJ Samantha Ronson for Saturday night.
Little did they know they’d also be getting the services of DJ Lindsay Lohan.
Look, I think it’s safe to say that these two are a couple at this point. I know, I know, two girls can be close friends without being all gay together. For instance, I don’t think Oprah’s having sex with Gayle. But I do think Lindsay’s having sex with Samantha. I think they’re together.
For all the rumors about how Lindsay’s still drinking, and Lindsay’s back on drugs, which may or may not be true, you have to admit that there haven’t been many stories lately about Lindsay doing crazy drunk shit. There’s the occasional vague item here and there, but it’s nothing like it was a year ago, or two years ago. I mean, when’s the last time she sent a drunken, rambling, “adequite” email to Page Six? Or cussed out Paris Hilton to a TMZ videographer? Or was hospitalized for “exhaustion”? Or broke her ankle on a particularly slippery floor? Or, you know, got a DUI?
Something’s changed, and, if SamRo has a role in it, good for her.
I like this couple. Sure SamRo is not hot in a straight guy fantasy lesbian way, but she seems good for Linds, especially if we discount the whole SamRo as cocaine supplier rumors of yesteryear.
I’m really happy for them. Go get married and have a lot of beautiful babies!
I think the Ronson as supplier rumors came from the same people that tell Lohan to pretend she is making out with a guy in Italy (and then leak stories of her insatiable man hunger to the press – look Lindsay needs 3 men at once). I think Lindsay has realized that the vultures that use her are not worth it. To be a superstar meant putting on a false front and I have no doubt this led to the substance abuse problems (she would not be the first female star to hit the bottle or coke because of the charade she has to play out). She has seemed happy and content for the last 2 months and it may be because she is no longer allowing fake boyfriend crap or going out of her way not to be seen with the person she loves (which is apparently what led to the Memorial Day weekend argument). If Lindsay is happy, she should go for it.
I think it’s mostly to do with the fact that if she ever wants to work again, studios have got to believe that she’s clean or they won’t touch her.
