“I don’t necessarily think of myself like the handsome guy. That’s reserved for Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds and those guys. It’s certainly nice when people say nice things about you, don’t get me wrong. I guess I never really thought of myself that way. I just wanted to be a regular person and try to portray parts as varied as I could.”
– Jon Hamm breaks his streak of saying wonderful words by being too modest for his own good.
First of all, Jon Hamm, shhhh. You’re beautiful and perfect, and you need to know that in your heart. I think it’s darling how modest and charming you are with this little statement, but hush, ok? You’re super gorgeous, a great actor, and everyone loves you. So please, just know that you are amazing, Jon Hamm. That’s all I ask.
Well, wait, that’s not exactly true. I have quite a bit more to ask. What person alive in this world, in this day and age, who works in the entertainment industry, who has a brain in his head and eyes on his face refers to “handsome guys” like Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds? Brad Pitt and George Clooney, sure. Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling even, I’ll totally believe it. But Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds? Those are the first people that come to mind when you’re thinking of those legendary Hollywood heartthrobs?
I get Brad Pitt. Of course I get Brad Pitt. When you think of attractive men in movies, Brad Pitt is definitely one of the first people that come to mind. He’s gorgeous ok? That’s what I’m saying. But Ryan Reynolds … that doucheface, really? In what way does he qualify to be beside Brad Pitt in a list of hot dudes? Am I missing his appeal again? That must be it. I just don’t get the attraction to so many of the public’s favorite dudes (Gerard Butler, Channing Tatum…) that I am cursed to a life of not loving Ryan Reynolds. Whatever, basically.
Are there any famous dudes that are supposed to be the bee’s knees that you’re just not that into? Do you get what’s so great about Ryan Reynolds? Do you think we should go ahead and get started on Jon Hamm’s care package?
Idg Ryan Gosling. He has the same allure as Bella Swan… that is, he’s a blank slate upon which women project what they want to be there.
