Happy Birthday, Justin Bieber!

You guys, today is a big day. It’s a huge day. And do you know why? It’s because Justin Bieber, our resident heartthrob, is turning 18 today. Do you know what that means? It means that I don’t have to feel creeped out anymore when I see Selena Gomez getting her Biebz on, and I don’t have to feel creeped out when I see comment after comment about the things that some of you would do to him. He’s 18, everybody! He’s totally legal! Feel free to describe any graphic sexual Bieber fantasies you have, because I no longer have to have a moral debate with myself over whether or not I need to report them. It’s a glorious day indeed!

Another thing that Justin Bieber’s birthday means? It means that I have to reevaluate how well I actually know my boyfriend. A little while ago, I was browsing through pictures of Justin Bieber, as I often do, and I made a comment about how Justin still looks a little, uh, feminine, but a couple of years ago, back when he first got his start, he could have been easily mistaken for a cute young lady. Boyfriend’s response? “Hey, it’s his birthday today, right?” There was probably a solid minute of silence where he looked a bit sheepish and I was surprised, and then he mumbled something about seeing it on Facebook. The point is, my boyfriend knew before I mentioned it that today is Justin Bieber’s birthday, and I definitely would have mentioned it had he not already known, and I really have to consider those implications heavily.

ANOTHER thing that this special Bieber day means? You get, as is customary for special snowflake birthdays, a gallery of some beautiful photos to drool over and print out for your collage or whatever your heart desires. Doesn’t that sound just swell?
