Now that Season 3 of The White Lotus has ended, the first logical question is where will the next season be?
Season one was in Hawaii. Season 2 in Italy and Season 3 in Thailand. So where to now?
Going Down Under is a possibility too. Speaking at Sydney’s Vivid Festival in 2023, White expressed his desire to set a future season of The White Lotus in Australia.
“My dream would be to hit every continent, so yeah, this is like its own continent basically. We kind of have to come to Australia if we keep going,” White said during a press conference. “It would be so fun. Obviously, there’s a huge wealth of talent here and the beauty is inarguable, so it feels like it checks all the boxes.”
But Japan is also a possibility.
“We didn’t know much about Thailand,” he said. “I had been there once before, but when we boiled down countries that worked weather-wise, had a tax rebate, that were film friendly, and really, it was just only Thailand in that region. So, we were like, oh, we’ll go to Thailand first and we’ll go on to Japan.”
