The project follows Netflix’s new partnership with the WWE that officially begins next month. Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria first teased Little Brother during a press event at the company’s offices on Tuesday.
Cena launched his entertainment career as a wrestler with the WWE more than two decades ago and begins his farewell WWE tour next year. On the horizon for Cena is a return for the second season of the Max series Peacemaker, along with a starring role in the live-action car-focused feature Matchbox that hails from Apple, Skydance and Mattel Films.
