Janes Addiction fans, of which I am one, are mourning the end of a brief and long awaited reuniting of the band.
This weekend the ‘Been Caught Stealing’ singers were on stage when lead singer Perry Farrell went seemingly nuts and started fighting his bandmate Dave Navarro.
Perry’s wife later said that the bands playing was drowning him out and he couldn’t take it anymore, but that doesn’t seem like a reason to start beating on your basest.
The band’s “Imminent Redemption” tour – with opening act English rock band Love and Rockets – started in early August and was to end on Oct. 16 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
“The band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such, they will be cancelling the remainder of the tour,” the band said in a brief statement Monday.
So sad.
