If you’ve never seen the mega hit Titanic, there’s a spoiler coming. lol. At the end of the movie Jack dies because Rose wont share space on the massive door she’s floating on. An action many say ruined an otherwise perfect movie. But I digress.
The door used to save Rose and freeze Jack was at auction last week and sold big!
Heritage Auctions announced Monday that its recent Treasures From Planet Hollywood auction collected $15.68 million in total and a whopping
$718,750 of that was spent on a door. A door that ruined a movie. lol.
It was not the only prop from James Cameron’s Titanic movie made available at the auction — a prototype of the same piece of wood sold for $125,000, while the wheel used for the boat in the movie sold for $200,000.
People got too much damn money.
