Here’s the deal. Singer Afroman wasn’t home in late August, 2022, when Cincinnati law enforcement conducted a raid on his home. But there were cameras there. They were everywhere. And they caught every step of the raid.
Fast forward a few months and Afroman releases two videos called “Lemon Pound Cake” and “Will You Help Me Repair My Door.” In these music videos you can see the footage of the police going through everything he owns while Afroman sings “Is there a 1,000lbs of weed in my suit pockets”.
In the footage it’s clear cops are taking advantage of their time in the home and Afroman alleges police stole from him as well. And the raid never led to any arrests.
Police are now suing Afroman for using their likeness in a video. Afroman is countering.
Anna Castellini, an attorney for Afroman (real name Joseph Foreman) said in a statement shared on his Instagram that they “are planning to counter-sue for the unlawful raid, money being stolen, and for the undeniable damage this had on my client’s family, career and property.”
I am here for all of this. Get em.
