Michael Rapaport is a loud mouthed actor with an insult at the ready for anyone who wants one. He’s also a solid New Yorker who lives and breaths the big apple and he’s bewildered by what he see’s around him.
Last night the actor posted a video to Instagram that he took at the Rite Aid at 81st Street and 1st Avenue in New York City.
In it he says he watched a man fill bags up with items from the store and nonchalantly walk past a security guard and leave “like shit is Gucci”.
See for yourself in the film posted below.
Michael says he hopes the new mayor can turn things around.
‘I think Eric Adams knows what’s going on, he knows how to deal with crime. I’m just hoping he lives up to our expectations.’
The actor said that he relies on that Rite Aid, where he buys his mood stabilizers, and that he and many others in the community are now losing their neighborhood pharmacy – and its workers are losing their jobs – because of the rampant shoplifting.
‘These people are gonna be out of a job because of guys like this scumbum,’ he said.
I agree.
