Cardi B has always been a class act in a spunky loud body. Now she’s showing just how generous she really is.
A horrific fire lit up the Bronx back on January 9th that ended up killing 17 people in the cities worst fire in over 30 years.
“I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal,” she said in a statement.
“I send my prayers and condolences to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.”
But thoughts and prayers weren’t enough and she knew it. Cardi immediately called the Mayor to see what she could do.
Mayor Eric Adams announced Cardi B would cover the costs, including repatriation costs for victims whose remains would be sent for burial to The Gambia, through the Mayor’s Fund, which had been collecting donations for affected families in a press release Wednesday.
Just a really magnanimous human being who often quietly pays peoples rent or school loans just because it’s the right thing to do. We love you, Cardi.
