Dr Dre has a whole show planned for half time at the 56th Super Bowl held February 13th. That’s a nice lucky day for some folks.
Dre is hosting the show that is jam packed with legends of hip hop. Performers include Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and of course, Dre himself.
But here’s the rub. If the show gets canceled, Dre would be on the hook for millions to cover wages and equipment. Insiders say it’s normal to get insurance, and Dre definitely got that, but these contracts include a Communicable Disease Exemption. In other words, cancelation because of a pandemic ain’t included!
Word is the clause has been around for ages. Since SARS broke out in 2002. Word also is it’s really unlikely the show will be canceled. Omicron will (knock on wood) be out of here by then and a new strain isn’t expected. Wait… expected? Are we at that point? Dear god let us be at that point.
