You couldn’t throw a stick in the 80’s and not hit a hair band member and at the top of that hierarchy was Cinderella. Now we’ve learned one of the band has left us for a jam session in the sky.
Jeff Labar, 58, was the guitarist for the band and had been with the band since 1985 when he replaced the original guitarist Michael Schermick.
Labar’s first wife, Gaile Labar-Bernhardt, told TMZ that he was found dead Wednesday inside his Nashville apartment. No immediate cause of death was given.
Jeff played on all four of the band’s studio albums. The group’s first two albums, 1986’s Night Songs and 1988’s Long Cold Winter were both certified triple platinum for sales of over 3 million copies each.
