On Friday night actress Lisa Banes was struck by a car in a hit and run in New York City. She is said to be in critical condition.
A Broadway veteran, Lisa was on her way to meet her wife Kathryn Kranhold for a dinner party at a friend’s place near Lincoln Center when she was hit by someone on a red and black scooter or motorcycle “with no plate” at 6:30 p.m., according to The New York Post.
It’s said she had the right of way when she crossed West 64th street at the proper crosswalk when the car hit her. Police say the investigation is still on going, but no suspect have been found.
Banes is still in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury after being admitted at Mount Sinai Morningside hospital. “Lisa is in critical condition and we’ll know more in the next few days,” her wife said.
Barnes has appeared in such films as “Gone Girl,” “A Cure for Wellness” and “Cocktail.” Her television work includes “Six Feet Under,” “Nashville” and most recently “Them.”
