“The Fat Boys are back, and you know they can never be whack.” Part of the rise of rap and the sound of the 80’s, the group “The Fat Boys” cemented their names in the music history books decades ago.
Now word comes that one of the three men that made up the groundbreaking band has passed away. Prince Markie Dee died on Feb 18th. Sadly today, the 19th, would be his 53 birthday.
No cause of death has been released.
In recent years, Markie was a radio DJ in Florida.
“Forever in my Heart. Prince Markie Dee was more than a rapper; he was one of my very best and closest friends,” read the tweet from Louis “Uncle Louie” Gregory.
“My heart breaks today because I lost a brother. I’ll always love you Mark and I’ll cherish everything you taught me. Tomorrow is your birthday, swing my way big bro.”
