Anne Heche is easily one of the biggest “stars” to be on Dancing with the Stars, assuming a contestants stardom can be from a different decade. And I think Heche herself thought so, that or she just thought she was the best dancer because word is she stormed off stage when being eliminated.
Viewers — and show judges — were left confused after new host Tyra Banks announced that “Cheer” coach Monica Aldama and her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, were safe, when in reality they were in the bottom two.
“There has been an error in the control room. This is the craziness of live TV,” Tyra said during the confusion. “I’m so sorry. This is live TV.”
Aldama and Chmerkovskiy were ultimately saved from the judges, while Heche went home.
“Anne was not happy — she was furious. She drove off the lot and refused to do any press,” a source told us.
Banks later tweeted, “Wowzers. Live TV. Wrong name on cards. So challenging to deal with moments like these. But we power through.”
Heche appeared to have cooled off as she appeared on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday morning.
The “Psycho” star had proudly danced the paso doble to Katy Perry’s “Rise,” revealing a Pride rainbow flag as her costume and said: “It’s been a blessing to be on this show.
“And to be able to tell my story. And to be able to have a partner to tell the truth with and to learn with.”
She added, “Listen, I live in love, I live in truth and I stood up for it 10 years ago, 20 years ago and I stand up for this very same thing today.”
