Known to many as Mr Castanza on Seinfeld or Carries dad (Mr Spooner) on King of Queens, Jerry Stillers career was actually many many decades deep and he was always on top of it.
“I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes,” Ben tweeted early Monday. He was 92.
“He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.”
Stiller had launched his career in the 1950s opposite his wife Anne Meara, who also starred alongside him in many of his most memorable on-screen moments before her death at 85 in May 2015.
Anne played Spences mom on King of Queens, which put the two together on screen for like the 1,000ths time. He was a fun fun man and will be missed.
