She shared a video of herself walking toward the West Village building that served as the exterior shots for her apartment on the hit NBC sitcom, telling people off-camera, “Goodnight, guys. I’m going home,” as the “Friends” transition music played in the background.
“The One Where My Rent Went Up $12,000,” she captioned the video, playing off the series’ episode titles. It appears she was hanging out with Jimmy Kimmel’s wife, writer Molly McNearney, as she hashtagged her name in the caption.
Cox and Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green, shared a spacious two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment that left fans wondering how they could afford it — given their various tenures of unemployment. The show explained that their insane real estate luck was attributed to an inherited, rent-controlled lease from Monica’s grandmother that let them pay only $200 per month.
