Once Daniel Craig hangs it up (which is likely after this next 007 film), the topic about who will take over has been 
on going for years now. There’s been quite a few in the running to be the next 007 such as: Idris Elba, Tom Hardy (lol), Tom Hiddleston (lmao), Michael Fassbender, and Henry Cavill, who has been pretty vocal about his interest in being the next James Bond, just to name a few. I want this, people. He is every ounce the sex appeal and room commander that the 007 role demands.
According to an article by Esquire and the source, producers have Idris Elba as the frontrunner:
“Director Antoine Fuqua revealed the details of a conversation with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, in which she said “it is time” for a non-white actor to take on the iconic role. Fuqua discussed who might be next in the running with Broccoli, who’s certain the progressive move “will happen eventually”, with Idris Elba a reported frontrunner for the role.”
Elba has already in past said he thinks the next Bond should be a woman.
