French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, died in his sleep at the age of 91, his partner said in a statement to AFP.
“It is with huge sadness that we inform you that Hubert Taffin de Givenchy has died,”he said.
Born to an aristocratic family in Beauvais, France, the designer gained global fame for his work with with fashion icons such as Audrey Hepburn.
Givenchy worked with the actress on two of her most aesthetically memorable films; Funny Face (1957) and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961).
Additionally, the French man styled Jackie Kennedy, arguably American’s most fashionable first lady.
