The Smashing Pumpkins have finally, officially announced their reunion tour. And the band is coming to the Moda Center Aug. 25.
The tour celebrates the Smashing Pumpkins’ 30th anniversary.
As had been expected in the run up to the unveiling of the 36-date road trip, former bassist D’arcy Wretzky is the only founding member who won’t be part of the show. Jack Bates, the son of British rocker Peter Hook, will join frontman Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin for the “Shiny and Oh So Bright” tour.
Jeff Schroeder, the band’s longtime guitarist, will also play on the road.
Tickets for the Moda performance go on sale Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. Prices start at $29 and top out at $125, according to a release from the venue.
This is the first time since 2000 that the band’s touring lineup will consist of a majority of founding members.
