A New York man is making the most of the city’s winter weather by listing the “snowfort penthouse” he built on his balcony on Airbnb.
Michael Koenigs filmed himself transforming the snow on his apartment’s balcony into a “fort” that he is now offering up on the accommodation-finding app.
“This comfy snowfort is built to impress with its very own tunnel entrance, breakfast chair, and couch for sleeping (bring your own blankets–BYOB),” Koenigs’ listing reads. “It has sweeping city views and no roof to allow maximum sunlight exposure to help warm you up during the day. The 5 foot-tall snow wall offers some privacy from the prying eyes of nosey New Yorkers.”
The snowfort — which is “only available for a limited time because it will melt” — is being offered for $250 a night.
