Howard Stern said he knew Harvey Weinstein was lying when the disgraced movie mogul denied bedding young actresses during a 2014 interview.
On his Sirius XM show Monday, Stern recalled asking Weinstein whether he took advantage of the “mogul aspect” when it came to women in the industry, according to a clip posted by TMZ.
“Every girl knows that if she’s a competent actress, if she could get on your good side, you could make her a star over-f–king-night. Don’t tell me it doesn’t work like that,” Stern asked Weinstein during the sit-down.
“Howard, I wish,” Weinstein replied. “The movies are too expensive, the risks are too great. It doesn’t happen that way anymore.”
Stern pressed, “You can’t walk into the room, pull your pants off and say, ‘Okay, honey let’s talk business?’”
The ousted Weinstein Company and Miramax cofounder replied, “John Frankenheimer, you know the great director, told us stories about his day in the movies. We were born way too late.”
Stern told his listeners Monday, “I knew he was lying.”
